Rebecca Chalson
Founder & Executive Director
Rebecca Chalson is the Founder and Executive Director of Brave Connections 501(c)(3), DBA Veteran Concierge™, which was born from a mission that became deeply personal. She did not fully understand the realities of military transition until her brother Ben, a U.S. Navy veteran, came home and struggled to find the support he needed. Ben died by suicide on June 27, 2022, just 18 months after discharge. He was only 30 years old. Before his death, he shared how overwhelming it was to navigate life after service.
That loss opened her eyes to how disorienting transition can be—leaving behind the structure, language, identity, and community of military life and being expected to function as though nothing has changed. In response, she founded Brave Connections and built Veteran Concierge™ and the Veteran2Veteran™ Check-In Program so no service member has to navigate that transition alone.
Further strengthening that mission, Rebecca earned her QPR Gatekeeper Trainer Certification through QPR Institute, whose program is an industry-leading approach to suicide prevention. She is also currently pursuing her ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited Life & Transition Coaching Certification.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Rebecca is an award-winning marketing and business development consultant with Professional Brilliance ® more than a decade of experience helping professionals and organizations grow through intentional networking, authentic storytelling, and strong professional communities. She was a 40 Under 40 award recipient, was mentioned in Forbes, and is a co-author of the Amazon best-selling book Women Who Rise. Through personalized coaching, marketing services, and curated virtual and in-person networking experiences as Your Community Connector™, she helps professionals expand their visibility and build meaningful relationships that support long-term success. She is also the owner of Your Swag Strategist™, a promotional products company with access to a network of more than 2,000 suppliers, helping organizations and business owners stay top of mind through strategic branded merchandise.
At her core, Rebecca is driven by a deep desire to help every person she encounters remember their unique spark and use it to become a light of hope, connection, and support for others. She is a keynote speaker providing training and presentations as it relates to suicide prevention awareness, veteran advocacy, and personal branding.
